About the factory (translated to English)-

The Antica Calzoleria Eureka, was born in Milan in 1878 from the passion of the Forzinetti family and above all of Mario Forzinetti who, after commissioning an illustrious pediatrician of the time to create a wooden shape that had all the suitable requirements and characteristics at the foot of a child, the production of a sandal with two small holes on the front began.
They were all similar to two eyes and it was thus that the "two eyes" was born then. Those sandals had such a great success that from that moment they were identified by everyone as the "two-eyed sandal". The idea was so new that it almost seemed like an invention and people started calling them "Eureka!".
